Neorhinistes

The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

Neorhinists

The St. Rhinotin of Thursday, February 14th, was rich in musical and poetic tastes.

Candidates from Sherbrooke and Quebec City left us a mark of friendship.

We are a small group of irreducibles
who resist in our crazy way to stupidity.

At next Thursday's 5 to 7, on February 21st, we will present
Alexandro Jodorowsky's «The Sacred Mountain». (in French)

A cult movie of the seventies.
A journey of initiation and exuberant fantasy.

On the conquest of inner truth,
a group of people climbing life, stumbles
and keep on looking for their way in a mountainous landscape.

A masterpiece film and a journey within our souls.

All the people I showed this film have experienced a strange value in themselves.

The neorhino.ca party is getting ready for the upcoming elections.

Opposition to the bill S. 1959
The Violent and Radicalization Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007
(The Act of 2007 for the prevention of violent radicalisation and terrorism domestic)

The "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007" recently passed the House unopposed, was sent to the Senate and is now the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

The bill defines "homegrown terrorism," "ideologically based violence," and "violent radicalization" in a way that sets the stage for treating political opposition in the US as domestic terrorism. It also creates a short-term Commission and a long-term university-based Center, to investigate and hold hearings on individuals and groups suspected of domestic terrorism, and potentially to infiltrate and disrupt groups suspected of domestic terrorism.

People or groups who plan, promote, or participate in strikes, demonstrations, boycotts, civil disobedience, or disturbances at meetings could be charged with using force to advance their agenda, and therefore engaging in terrorism. People or groups who consistently speak publicly or write about abuses in society in a way that might lead to these forceful acts could be charged with promoting an extremist belief system, and therefore engaging in violent radicalization. For more information on the bill, please go to S. 1959
